Hello! I’m Carter, and this summer, I’m graduating from the Animation and Rich Media Program at Des Moines Area Community College. I’m a 2D and 3D artist, specializing in concept art, character design, and animation. I’ve been drawing and creating for most of my life, but really fell in love with animation around 2018, when Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse came out. The movie made me realize that animation and art were something I wanted to do forever, and I’d love to be able to share that with the rest of the world!
The work I’ve done at Des Moines Area Community College has taught me so much about both 2D and 3D animation and how I can use my skills professionally. In the future, I’d love to work in the game industry as a character artist or animator. Currently, I’m looking into a game design program and getting my Bachelor’s in Fine Arts at a four-year college.
